How to make a cobblestone look base?

Post by 3eland »

So I am wanting to make cobblestone bases for my Skaven but unless I decide to green stuff every single brick (or make a template) I am lost as to how to go about doing it. Is there an easier alternative? Maybe sheets of cobblestone I can just snip to fit my bases?

Thanks in advance Btown!

I think Happy Seppuku makes a cobblestone stamp that you use with green stuff. I can't vouch for it personally but it seems like a cool idea.

I checked out their site and it looks like a cool way of doing it. I'll see if they ship to Polar bear country.

Thanks!

EDIT: Seems I cannot order stamps from them... weird.

+1 for the Stamps working wonders. Sadly, I just use a hobby knife and carve each of mine out with the occasional sculpting tool.

Only advice I'd give, is maybe seek out a replacement for Green Stuff as that "Stuff" can get spensive! (I've tried other methods including milliput and etc, theres a few good cheaper alternatives out there) I also usually glue a piece of paper over the tab slot/slotted bases I'm using so the green stuff doesnt get dipped in that area then drill/pin the model on the dried cobble base.

They are wrapping up rewards on a Kickstarter they ran to retool their molds, so they may be waiting to fulfill on those before they start selling again. I think the rewards ship this month, and hopefully they will have the store up soon.
