Game is popular... Sells very well... but I keep having to look at 2ndary market prices that are unacceptible to me...
I think it is stupid beyong belief!
Why didn't they at least release plans/unformation about a new print run? I talked to my local GW rep about this eveytime I see her...
At this point, I simply will not buy it for fear of them doing a v2 boxed set after... and that sucks... We all want to play but we want all the gear in one box.
Sorry, but this pisses me off.

It's just like every other non-core game. 1, maybe 2 print runs and done.
At least for it they're releasing more content, unlike Necromunda and Blood Bowl.
KT is getting new rules and supplements, but not a new core box set.
Underworlds got a new core, with new/updated rules; but it is their one game that they actually has prize support.

I think it is a bad idea... Not a very agile business if you can’t shuffle around a few thing to keep steam behind a hot product... but gw has always been abysmal with specialist games (red-headed step-child of GW products).
They also haven't released all components of that boxed set for sale as separate items... Not too sharp and it has cost them money... this is a common complaint that I hear at gw stores... but it saved me all kinds of money (since I won’t purchase it until it is kept in reasonable stock - which it never was)... so maybe GW is looking out for people like me.
Maybe that is a sign of a v2 boxed set... but I will wait and see...

It’s not stupid at all. You’re thinking like a gamer, not as a for profit entity that would rather sell a Rulebook, terrain and kill teams separately for more.
GW is an incredibly lean running company. 40K and AOS make them money. Any resources put towards things that aren’t 40K or AOS makes them less money.
What was in the box that hasn’t been released separately aside from the board?

Re: So (Leading Question Coming), how stupid do you think it is that the Kill team boxed set hasn't been in stores for a
Yeah, I get that one... They still could of packed the book with all the cards/tokens out of the original boxed set (and sold maps seperatly). Sort, of like the commander set.
Yeah, there are some things you can't get... and it is less accesible in its current form.
I do get what you are saying though... the hook box is a very low profit margin (because it is a good deal) and the game is popular so why do you need a hook box?

GW-level stupid, of course.
I am always in the market for weird and wonderful GW oddbitz and ephemera. PM me if you have something old/weird/rare.

There are four copies still sitting on the shelves of both of my local hobby shops. Maybe is sells good in some areas, but locally, it is starting to collect dust with the other GW items as numerous other systems with cheaper buy in and higher profit margins as well as shorter game times and smaller play areas are starting to dominate our local gaming areas. But I imagine every area is different and unique.

Meh, who cares. It’s a hobby, supposed to be fun and we don’t run their business so for me it’s a Meh, who cares what they do

There are several stores in my area that sell GW products. 2 are GW stores and the others sell comic & games.ssapper wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 9:31 pmThere are four copies still sitting on the shelves of both of my local hobby shops. The GW stores are out of product usually within a month. The stores sometimes have items for a year or more.
GW sends stuff back every week. That looks like it's selling out.
The others keep it until it sells. If ever.

I am getting killed with this... It is next to impossible to get any killzone boxed sets and it is really frustrating the shot out of me...
Thanks,

There's no issues with this guys doing this but, if you're going to start talking about "Ninja Shopper" deals, please do that in PM.
Technically, that's considered in the trade realm.
Thanks.
Eric

It's okay. Nobody crossed any lines. What was done so far was NOOOO problem.
I just wanted to put the reminder out there before it became one and someone hit the Report button.
