Thinking of starting a dark angels librarian conclave...
I have Zeke and a few librarians can easily do the 2 maybe get one or two more...
I want this to support my imperial knights 2-3 and add much needed speed I'm think of a small raven wing add in with them any suggestions??
What extras (units, troops, bikes, speeders, flyers, wargear) would or have people seen from this list I ask as I have little experience with these boys. Looking for support around 1800-2400 points so id like to keep them a lite group but effective.
Any thoughts tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated
Thanks David

When did the Librarius Conclave formation become available to Dark Angels?Daverage007 wrote:Thinking of starting a dark angels librarian conclave...

I believe they've had this for close to a year... Something along the lines of a late 2014 release if that's when the new codex dark angels released

That's really cool. I wonder if my Blood Angels might have similar "mail order only" formations that make them playable in 7th Edition.Daverage007 wrote:I believe they've had this for close to a year... If you've seen the Baal campaign stuff... I believe this was in it the supplement Although not sure how playable they are

Just not sure what it means by the "all units in this formation must have the DA faction... Is this standard CAD, like allied force unit structure?? Just not sure how this units get set up

It would have been something, except vanilla marines are inexplicably better at almost every turn for no increase in points cost. Anyone care to explain how a dreadnought from a no-name chapter like the Sons of Orar has twice as many Attacks as a Blood Angels dreadnought?Daverage007 wrote:If you've seen the Baal campaign stuff... My favourite Blood Angel formation from Exterminatus is the Sanguine Wing (we discussed that over here), but I need to do a lot more painting - 30 marines and a Stormraven - for that!
The one I've seen used lately that is just gross WAAC crap is the Flesh Tearers Strike Force formation with one HQ, one Troops, and up to six Fast Attack choices. Since all Imperial armies are now Battle Brothers, I see folks using this as an allied crutch to get their foot-slogging Grey Knights or Adeptus Mechanicus into battle quickly by choosing Flesh Tearer Drop Pods to fill the Fast Attack slots.
Every unit that makes up your choices in that formation must be Dark Angels. Some formations allow you generic choices - "Troops", "Elites", or "Fast Attack", for example - but they're making it clear that all the units in that specific formation must be Dark Angels, and can not be any other faction. Such language allows them to release other unit choices later in supplements that would be compatible with your formation without having to try to say something sloppy like "chosen from the Dark Angels Codex and any other fyoocha roolz we publish for Dark Angels".Daverage007 wrote:Just not sure what it means by the "all units in this formation must have the DA faction...
