"Cheapest" army to start/play?

Post by laxlover_bill369 »

Just wondering between Grey Knights, Eldar, or Space Marine? I have a feeling Grey Knights since the high point cost and lower count of paints. If in the wrong forum please move.

Grey knight would be the cheapest, if you go with draigo and 10 paladin, with two dreadknights, should be a decent army to play with at 1250 roughly.

It really depends on what type of army you want to play. You could buy a SM commander, 1 tac box and 3 centurion boxes and have a 1300+ point army with upgrades, however that army wouldn't play well.

Like the above guys a GK paladin army is the easiest to buyand will give you a amry that is mostly able to play successfully.

3 boxes of GK terminators
Draigo
Dread with TL Autocannons
Dreadknight
Stormraven

Low model count and the above models come to 1500+ point before upgrades and it's about $350 retail. Drop the Stormraven and you are under $300.
Positive feedback I have left for but have not received any in return: Stephen, oldgamer56
