He's in Terminator Armor, for heaven's sake. There's not any better *individual* protection in the whole Space Marine Arsenal. LOL Terminator armor is as good as any armored crew compartment could get on a model with a W value, rather than an A value.
The sniper thing means nothing, as a sniper can already do that.

S_, I can ABSOLUTELY see your point and why you'd feel that way. I just happen to disagree. The model appeals to me.

Small disagreement from me on one thing:
Tau giant robot? F'ing A!
Giant robots aren't a Tau 'thing' any more than the DK is a SM thing. Tau are all about non-combat, shooting and (non-walker) vehicles.

Oh... and I think SM's SHOULD still have jetbikes. They is the radicals!

SM do have jetbikes. Look at the master of the Ravenwing. That's a cop out though. Of course, there is nothing saying you cannot convert some, and use them as bikers.

Somewhere down the line they lost the technology, possibly during the heresy.

I don't know if I give you that. The Tau model line I think would mesh very well with a giant robot--after all, the Fire Warrior helmets, the Crisis Suits, the Stealth suits, these all lean towards a robot look. Now, if you stuck a Tau in the harness instead of a Termie, it still wouldn't suit Tau because it doesn't match the lines of their other models.

Anyway, I'm cool with disagreeing.

But one last dig (feel free to retaliate):

Based on name and appearance, my guess is the Dreadknight is based off the AdMech Knight designs. If you read Mechanicum it gives off that vibe. And, as already stated to death, the Grey Knights get whatever they want from any branch of the Imperium.

Hm. Maybe there IS a potential use for that kit....

The Dreadknight is a plastic multi-part kit with 103 parts? Hells yeah! That will make converting it into some cool poses very easily.

The whole release, especially the Dreadknight is plain... meh IMHO. What I've heard & read about the codex only doubles the meh. Pass. Next release please.

I do have a minor gripe though. The terminator sprues have options for an Apothecary. My poor Dark Angels no longer are the only ones with that option. They've had it since... 2006? But the GK codex has it AND a model for it now? Triple lame.
