Post by evilmerlin »

I was suppose to trade some bits with him. Sent out mine to him and never received his after 3-4 weeks. No replys to all my PMs either. I checking this off as a lost cause but would like to inform the rest about this person.

Well, it's an international trade, so you may have a lost parcel/customs issue. Who knows.

As for what we can do if you don't get your stuff and cheiron doesn't contact you, well, it was two bits. Not worth involving the authorities over.

At best, all i can see happening from this Bad Trader Report is people being more cautious when trading with cheiron in the future, possibly not trading with him at all.

Yet another reason I never do international trades.

Let's hope we hear from Cheiron soon.

Yes, It could be a lost parcel but it would be nice if he at least replied to my PMs.

Yes, I know that its just 2 small bits but if a person is willing to scam and I use that word cautiously, over such small things that he might just go on to bigger things if he feels he can get away with it.

Whereas I'm usually in agreement with ya, 'Sid, we're going to have to part ways on this one.
I don't care if it's a nickel. If I'm scammed, I'm giving it my all.

Lower rating? You ship first.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Note that if it went surface then 3-6 weeks isn't unusual. Heck, I only send via surface, & Oz & NZ take 6-8 weeks!

Has he actually gotten your PMs? I mean are they in your Outbox still because he hasn't logged on? Just curious...
Lower rating? I ask that you ship first. Also, if I offer a stupidly good deal and you try to negotiate even lower...don't call it bad communication that you didn't get a reply. I deleted the message.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still nail him to the board, but what I'm saying is, the authorities really can't be involved in this one due to the nature of the crime (it's just really not worth it. Hell, I'd feel bad about wasting a cop's time over this one; I'd just tough it out and hope the people of Bartertown wouldn't trade with this guy anymore).

Most I could see happening if the guy gettin his account suspended or possibly banned, depending on if we ever hear his side of the story, or the whim of the admin.

That was my main idea actually. I figured that its too small to be bothering the authorities over and just want to warn the people of BT about this person.
